Last night Kirby and I had the urge for some sweets (and when I say urge, I mean we needed chocolate asap or terrible things would take place in the streets of Prague). Our conversation went something like this:
"You know Kirby, I could go for something sweet, like chocolate."
"Yeah, cookies and milk. Mmmm...."
"Ok, let's go. We have 40 minutes until the store closes."
"Can I go to the bathroom first?"
"You better hurry!"
So off we went. We turned the corner just as our tram left, so we opted to walk and work off the soon to be added pounds. Laughing and walking, we realized we didn't know if the store would still be open, so we stopped into an Asian mini-market and grabbed a couple rolls of cookies for a couple dollars-fabulous. We walked outside and opened them up to take part in the sugary goodness. While walking back, we decided to check what time the Tesco Express closed so we would know for future reference. We stopped in, saw their cookies on sale and decided that since we're heading off for a trip we better pick up a few cheap goodies for our trip. Oh the small things in life...gotta love late night trips for sugar!
When Kirby and I left Hana, Jake, and Devon's place, we decided to leave them with a gift to express our gratitude for their hospitality-meet Greta. I think she's quite darling. Jake's shoes, Hana's skirt, Jake's shirt, household potatoes, Devon's pipe, Jake's sunglasses, and Donnie's hat-a true work of art.
I have been gone for about a month and a half at this point and you know, some things just fall apart. Last week, I was searching around my suitcase for a shirt and my watch fell off. I thought nothing of it until I realized the band broke. Thanks to dad, I have duct tape! So I fixed it up and have a nice turquoise accent now. Then, a few days later, the sun came out the other day and I was ecstatic to feel the warmth of the suns rays fall upon me. I reached into my purse, took my sunglasses out, set them on my face and was ready to go outside. Since I was still inside the building, I went to move the glasses on top of my head and that's when it happened. They broke. Just like that. The glasses must have been crushed in my bag...bummer.
