Spring has Arrived!

Yesterday was the most beautiful day in Prague. The Sun sprinkled the city with warm rays and everyone had a smile on their face as we strolled around without giant winter coats for the first time. The coming of spring is like a long awaited release. We are set free from the bitter, icy, cloud that envelops life for what seems an eternity.
Early in the week I planned to make a trip just outside the city to go hiking on Thursday, so when I woke up to a bright, sunny day and learned that it was 50 degrees, I was quick to get out the door. Kirby and I rode the metro together until she jumped off for class. We practically skipped down the street we were so happy for the warmth! My hike (although I really didn't hike that much) was glorious. I explored the rock formations for about a half hour and then found a place in the sun to journal. My first Czech Republic bug appeared while I was sitting there and birds flaunted their beautiful songs while floating from tree limb to tree limb. The breeze picked up so I decided to find a better place to sit. I found a grassy field spread out in the sun. I read a few chapters of Daniel and then went on with my day. It's amazing what a couple hours away from the craziness of the city will do.
